A Northern Kentucky couple won $33,000 worth of prizes for their
wedding in a contest sponsored by the Fabulous Bridal Boutique and
the Madison in Covington.
Katie Lonneman of Edgewood and Eric Kiely of Villa
Hills, both 25, beat out three other finalist couples. They received
the most votes in online voting on WKRQ-FM's (101.9) Web site last
week. More than 400,000 votes were cast, and Lonneman and Kiely
narrowly beat out the couple that came in second, says John Engel,
director of marketing for Donna Salyers' Fabulous Furs and Fabulous
Bridal.
The couple will marry Oct. 20 at St. Pius X Church in
Edgewood.
Lonneman is one of four daughters and is working toward her
master's degree to become a nurse practitioner. Kiely works in
finance for Citigroup.
The couple, who started dating when they were 19-year-old
students at Northern Kentucky University, urged friends, former
classmates, co-workers and acquaintances around the world to vote
for them last week.
The prizes include a wedding reception and rehearsal dinner at
the Madison, bridal and bridesmaids' dresses, tuxedo rentals,
flowers, photography, videography, invitations and music, all from
Covington merchants.
